14 week scare!!

A couple weeks ago Mike and I went in for our fourteen week appointment. The nurse was using those old school heart beat monitors and was having a really hard time finding it so of course Mike and I were getting very nervous! She kept trying but nothing so she decided to do an emergancy ultra sound. Now any of you who have gone through this know how scarey this is. Luckily everthing was ok but boy was our little one all over the place! I could not get over how much it was moving!! No wonder they couldnt find the heart beat! The best part was our little buggie decided to take a break and suck on its thumb it was soo cute!! We have decided our little one is not shy at all and just wanted everyone to see it again!

This is the top of the head and the arm is the thing sticking up.
This is me at 16 weeks....my belly just keeps growing and growing!! I can't wait till we find out the sex!! Only two more weeks from Friday!!

That totally happened to me! I was so scared. I'm so glad everything is ok and that you got to see the cute thing moving and sucking it's thumb. I am so excited to find out what you are having!! And your belly is so cute...you look so skinny with just a little bump. So fun!

Your little baby bump is so cute! my cousins wife went down to costa mesa on saturday and she is 13 weeks pregnant and paid 25$ to find out what she is having. and they are usually right on! my sister in laws did it too way early in pregnancy. i was tempted to find out this early... but i think im going to wait right before christmas. im excited to find out what you are having! yay for babies!

Just get used to the fact that ultrasounds and pregnancy are scary. My first ultrasound with Stella - they said I actually wasn't pregnant and had what is called a blighted ovem, and to come back in one week to make sure - but then they would most likely schedule me for a D and C and I would have to move on with my life. Of course at the next ulrtrasound they said, never mind... you are pregnant. Then at my 20 week ultrasound with Sterling they told me that he probably had down syndrome, and that they would re-check him in a month to see if they could tell anything more. Then, at the ultrasound a month later - turns out he no longer had the markers for down-syndrome. Crazy stuff. So I know how you are feeling. At least you found out right then and didn't have to go home for a week or month before you could know. I am glad your babe is all right, and being so cute sucking its thumb and all.... very sweet. You look awesome. Cant wiat to hear what you are having!!
