7 months!

7 months!? I feel like he just turned 6 months..and I know I say this every time but it's like each month goes by faster and faster! Cayden turned 7 months last Monday and not too much has changed, we weighed him and he was 17.6! He is still not crawling! At first I thought..oh he will be crawling for sure by Halloween, well that is long gone and now I have thought..well, maybe by Thanksgiving? He definately knows how to manuvor all over the room by rolling and scooting so we will see. Cayden also STILL has no teeth! He has been teething since 4 months so who knows when his first tooth will come..I used to think he would have one by 4 months but again...I was wrong. I see a trend going on here that he is just too unpredictable. He is starting to learn the system though..like throwing a fit when mom or dad walk away...gets mad when I take something out of his hand that shouldn't be but all in all he is still such a happy sweet baby! Well a post just wouldn't be complete without a ton of pictures so here are some I took the day he turned 7 months =)

Do they remember?

I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this or not but I think it's crazy! Everyone always wonders what babies remember after they come to this earth and I really think that they do! Ever since Cayden has been able to open his eyes he has always seemed so fasinated by pictures of the Savior..in Idaho we had one on our wall and he would always just stare at it. We thought it was kind of fun but didn't think too much about it. Now that he is getting older it is becoming more obvious. The other day my visiting teachers were over and Cayden was sitting on my lap..as they were giving the lesson Cayden was looking next to me and just laughing and smiling..I looked over and realized he was staring at a picture we have of Jesus above the piano. I thought maybe it could have been something else getting him all excited but then Mike and I tried something that night...we showed him a family picture and he would just stare at it and then we would show him this one and he would smile, laugh, and flap his arms around and always reach for the picture... there is even one in our bedroom and it is right above his crib and when I pick him up from a nap or in the morning he will always find it and smile..I just find it amazing...I just keep telling him thats Jesus! For some reason this experience just amazed me and made me believe how close he really is to our savior =)

Halloween

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I am finally getting to Halloween =)... This by far is my favortie time of the year, and I know I have said it plenty of times but not only is it my favorite season but some of the best holidays! Mike and I celebrated our 7 year "dating" anniversary on November 11th and I remember how excited I was to have a boyfriend during the holidays..there is just something about it that makes it more special and then when we got married and it seemed even better...but nothing tops having a kid during the holidays..even if he has no idea what is going on. I have been enjoying every minute of the holiday movies treats books and music and I know as the years go on the more fun it will be!
Cayden loved reading the halloween books

We had to go visit the great grandparents to show them our little dinasour!

The night before Halloween we went to the trunk or treat for our ward and it was alot of fun! We got alot of candy and enjoyed yummy food..

Cayden enjoying the candy he got that night.. and yes the wrapper is still on it =)

On sunday we went to Mike's parents and I brought over cupcakes and attempted to make them look like a pumpkin...we go over every halloween and enjoy as a tradition navaho tacos...I look forward to eating them every year because they are sooo good!!!

We put Cayden in his costume and he knocked right out but I enjoyed cuddling him =)

of course we had to get a pic of the cousins

Having fun with pumpkins!

A couple months ago I got this great idea for Cayden's first halloween! I wanted to carve out a big pumpkin and put Cayden inside! Mike's parents were able to find really big pumpkins so last week we had a little photo shoot. We didn't have a whole lot of time and it took longer to carve out the pumpkin then we thought it would so we wernt able to do it outside like I had wanted but we worked with what we had and I thought the pictures came out pretty cute... All Cayden wanted to do was suck on the pumpkin...

On Saturday we carved our own pumpkins and Cayden was front and center through the whole process and he loved it!
We let him play with the insides and of course he tried to eat it!

Being happy little Cayden like usual...

We didn't get all crazy like we did last year but I think our pumpkins turned out pretty good...
This one was mine...
