Sprinkle

We decided with this little bundle of joy that we would not find out what we were having..I thought it was going to be SOO hard and it actually turned out to be such a fun experience! A sweet girl in our ward insisted on throwing a sprinkle for me which I thought was totally unnecessary! We had it at her house on August 22nd and had a great day with family and people from our ward.

It was so sweet of her to do this for us..who doesn't need diaper gift cards etc no matter how many kids you have!

Beach and pony tails!

Julie and I took the kids to the beach one last time for the Summer..well kind of, it still felt like Summer! We picked Cayden up from school and off we went!!

The kids got SO dirty this trip! Ellie's hair was a wet mess so I put it in a pony tail for the first time. It's amazing how much older she looked =(..Cayden calls her an old lady whenever her hair is up..

We were so lucky to take many trips to the beach this summer and try and beat the heat!!

My Kindergartener

I can't believe I have a kid in Kindergarten! August 17th was his first day, he was SO excited but I could tell a little nervous too. Luckily my emotions were already prepped with pre-school so I didn't cry =)
Ellie decided she wanted to be in all of the pictures for whatever reason so I couldn't say no because it was really cute and I just tried to cut her out when I could..

Sadly the sun made it hard to read his sign this year. His profession is a train engineer =)

Carpinteria!!

We were able to go on our annual trip to Carpinteria on 8/8! Cayden had been talking about going to the train station there for, no joke, a year so we were all so excited for him to be able to go to it again and see the trains.Of course that had to be our first stop..

Mike and I were able to take a long walk over to Aladdin's Castle..at least that is what we used to call it growing up, its only a walk you can do when the tide is low and you have to walk through some crazy quick sand stuff so we had lots of laughs and enjoyed some time alone =)

She cracks us up..

We left early one of the nights from the beach so the kids could go swim in the pool which they loved..

The train station was visited every day. Cayden is obsessed with trains!!

Cayden and Dad put a penny on the tracks and were able to find it after it went by..also this was not what it looks like, in no way did we let Cayden play on the tracks with the train that close

Us girls went into town and got some of the famous cupcakes and window shopped..

Cayden got up the courage to boogy board! I was so glad he wanted to try and he was smiling the few waves he caught and then he decided he didn't want to do it =(

Our group shot..

Ellie wanted to go on a walk with Daddy which was so cute to watch so I had to snap a picture..
