California...oh how we miss you!!

Well I would definately say our trip back to California was anything but a vacation...but it was really nice being able to see and be around family. It was a very short trip filled with way too many plans. Thursday we swam at Mike's parents house and Mike had an interview for an intern which he got!! So we will be moving back to california at the end of August until the end of December and we couldnt be more excited. We also ate at one of my favorite restaraunts..Don Jose's! Friday we were able to have a photo shoot done and we cant wait to see them....we also went to Disneyland with our very good friends Jared and Amanda where we got to eat at Clubb 33 and go on some rides! Saturday was my sister's wedding...she looked beautiful and the sealing was really good. Sunday was such a great day...not only was it father's day but we also did Cayden's blessing....Mike did such a good job.... Cayden was great on the plane and he even got wings for his first flight!!

2 months!

Cayden turned 2 month last Tuesday the 15th here were his stats:
Weight: 9.8oz...8%
Height: 22inches...18%
The doctor was extremely impressed with how much he has grown..I mean he doubled his size and gained 5 pounds in less than 2 months! The doctor even wanted me to try and make his feedings farther apart when I told him he was eating 3 1/2oz every two hours..he couldnt believe it! So now I am trying to go every three...I am still pumping which is such a hassle because it is double duty for me and takes up alot of my time but its worth it. Cayden is becoming more and more fun everyday...he has been making all sorts of fun noises which I love! He has found his hands and arms and sucks on them alot...he also tries to find anything he can to get in his mouth..burp cloth, blankets, even our couch! He is always wanting to move so he loves being on his back and doesnt like to be held and cuddled a whole lot which does make me kinda sad sometimes...and does soo good lifting his head and upper body and stomach. Mike and I make him smile too which I love and I cant wait till he starts laughing!! He has just grown and changed soo much its scarey!! So this picture I took the day he was two months..that was the outfit we took him home from the NICU less than two months before...scarey to think he could fit into that..and it was even a little big on him!!

So last night Mike and I were enjoying a very delicious dinner...I made some baked beans and macaroni salad and we had a ribeye steak that was cooked perfectly! We shared the steak cuz it was huge and Mike of course took the part with the bone ( I personally dont like eating meat off the bone and now definately never will!) I look over and Mike has the bone in his hand and was eating the meat off of it with his mouth when all of a sudden he gets this extremely weird/disgusted look on his face...I look over and see tenticle like things sticking off the bone and thought man those are some nasty big veins...well it turns out it was a WORM!!!! He didnt want to tell me at first but I got it out of him..I seriously almost threw up and that never happens! We were sooo dusgusted!!! We called the hospital and they said that since the meat wasnt spoiled before we cooked it we should be fine...which obviously we are both still alive but still thinking about it makes me cringe...I know the piece I ate wasnt where the worm was but who knows what it squirmed through...we called Albertsons to let them know and the guy wanted to give us some free steak...steak?? Did he really think I would want to eat that again?? So I got him to give us fish instead =) I think I am going to hold off on steak for a little while...
I thought you would enjoy a picture of it...oh and the worm did go in Mikes mouth but luckily he didnt eat any of it (that we know of)
Sorry if I ruined steak eating for anyone lol I just couldnt help it...we thought we should go buy a lottery ticket or something after that happening...what are the chances but then again we probably dont know half the things we eat....yuk!! =)
