Julie's Sprinkle!

My mom and I put together a little "sprinkle" for my sister on 4/2. It was a nice afternoon with family!

we had a sundae bar so guests could "sprinkle" on some toppings..

Cayden's family Birthday!

We had our family over for a little dinner, presents, and cake!

Cayden loved all of his gifts..

He wanted me to make him a red velvet cake which I thought was super random but he loved it! Can't believe my little boy is 6!!

Splash Pad!

On 4/20 us girls sneaked over to our favorite splash pad while Cayden was in school! Ellie had fun playing with her cousin and getting wet!

My note writer

I am trying to be better about documenting things my kids do etc and something I love is Cayden's notes. He LOVES to write notes. I found out he became the note writer in Kindergarten and would write sweet love notes to kids in his class. One of the mom's daughters got one and it said I love you Grace, her dad wasn't too excited that a boy was writing that to his daughter but his mom told him, if there is a boy writing that to our daughter, you want it to be Cayden! She helped a lot in class so that felt so good to hear =) He also writes notes to us at home and it always brings a big smile to my face when I see them..

Cayden's first train ride!

We have decided to hold off Birthday's (except for 1st) and take the kids somewhere they would like to go as a family! I LOVE this tradition, it is way more memorable and way less stressful =) Cayden has been dying to go on a train since he is literally OBSESSED with them, to Carpinteria, so that's what we did!! On the drive to Glendale Cayden told Mike and I he thought he was going to throw up, we realized he was just really nervous/excited!!

Once the fear left and the train started, Cayden was in Heaven!! He could have sat on the train all day if we would have let him!!

Grammy, Papa, and Uncle Brian decided to join in on the fun as well!

Once we got to the Beach we had a couple hours to go get some candy at Robetilles and of course let Cayden try out his new metal detector..he sadly didn't find any buried treasure =(

We had dinner at our favorite place, The Spot, which is right next to the train station..

Cayden was still nervous about the train horn..it was such a FUN day and one he will probably never forget!!

Cayden's Birthday!

Cayden turned 6 on April 15th! We decided to surprise him by blowing up a bunch of balloons and leaving them all around his room..

Auntie Julie and Claire decided to surprise Cayden with donuts for breakfast which he was SO excited about and loved using "it's my special day" plate he made a few years back..

We sang happy birthday =)

Mom, Dad, and Ellie got him a few things so he enjoyed getting some gifts..

Our sweet Cayden has such an amazing mind..I am not sure I have ever heard of a 6 year old desperately wanting a metal detector! He had been wanting one for a while now so Mike and I decided to surprise him with one...he was SO excited!!
