pumpkin carving!

This year we were able to carve pumpkins with our good friends Jared and Amanda. Like usual we had a ton of fun together eating pizza, carving pumpkins, eating delicious chocolate chip pumpkin cookies Amanda made, and pumpkin seeds we made while looking at you tube videos and laughing a lot.
This was mine..
This was Cayden's..Mike spent a really long time on it because it was pretty much all shaving but it turned out really cute..
By the time Mike was done with Cayden's we were all done with ours so he did a quick free hand on his and it still looked really good..

This picture is too prefect..not only because the sizes of their pumpkins match perfectly with them but the faces make it even better...
We had a really fun night!!

18 months

I cant believe our little guy is already 18 months! It has been so fun watching him grow and learn over the last year and a half, some days I can't get enough of him and some days I have had enough, don't get me wrong, we love him more than anything, I just don't understand why they call it the terrible's more like 15 months. The main issue has been teething, he finally got 4 molars in one right after the other and during those few weeks he was not a happy camper. There were some really rough days and after they were in he was great but the teething has sadly started again.
Cayden loves to talk and says a lot of words, since he was 15 months he now says, motor cycle(gycle), tree, please, thank you, bath, bike, diaper, night night, sorry, water, juice, apple, tire, yellow (he thinks everything is the color yellow), although he has been learning blue which he says as well, and his favorite number is 2, he even tries to hold up 2 fingers when he says it. Cayden just recently started to put two words together but so far it's night night ___, and bye bye ___, In the last month or so he has FINALLY been calling me momma, he never used to which made me really sad and but now he says it all the time he even just likes to pat my arm or point to me and say it which I love!
Cayden loves the alphabet and around 17 months he new a lot of the letters! He knows, A,B,C,D,E,I,M,O,P,Q,S,T,U,and Z. He loves to pick out the letters everywhere we go, weather its on a shirt or a sign, anywhere he will say what they are!
Cayden still loves to look at pictures of Jesus and says his name every time he sees him, he still doesn't ever want to watch TV but the few shows he will watch a little bit of is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Never land Pirates, and Little Eintines...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is still by far his favorite though. Cayden still loves books but wants to look at them more independently now. Cayden absolutely loves to play hide and seek! He would play it all day if he could, he loves to run around the house and try and find where we are hiding. Cayden has been using his imagination which I love to watch, mainly using things as a phone but its really fun to watch him play and think what on earth is going through that cute little mind of his. He loves giving us kisses and all of his stuffed animals kisses.
Cayden is still pretty good with food, a sad little picky side has been coming through which we are not happy about because he used to eat anything and everything. The one thing I do love is his love for fruits and vegetables, most of the time those are the first things gone off his plate. I have been giving him silverware to use and he does pretty well he just usually ends up holding the spoon in one hand and picks up the food with the other.
A week or so before Cayden turned 18 months he started to tell me poo poo and pat his bottom and at first it was after he went, but then he started to tell me before. I got right on it and bought a toilet for him soo excited to see the end of diapers near but the minute we put him on it he freaks and wants nothing to do with it?? Hopefully we will be able to work on it more soon.
Cayden has been doing really well in Nursery, he has no problem with us leaving him there and sadly all of the kids in there are over 2 so he is the youngest but he still loves it and does not want to leave!
Here are Cayden's stats:
Weight: 24 pounds...25th%
Length: 31in....25th%

Cal Polly Pumpkin Patch!

We decided to try out a new pumpkin patch this past weekend. We thought the pumpkin patch was only open for two days and found out later that it is still open it just has a lot more the day we went which equaled out to a lot more people...and I mean a lot of people!! It was soo crowded and very hot so we didn't stay long but luckily it was close and free...besides all of the people and heat, we had a good time. I liked the corn maze, I had never been in one plus it was nice and cool in there =)
They had hay that was stacked really high so you could look at where you were, it was a nice view too..
Another thing I liked was how many pumpkins they had! There were soo many, on the way over we just saw a big orange hill and realized it was all of the pumpkins!

Irvine Pumpkin Patch!

Last Monday we were able to make it down to Irvine pumpkin patch and had a lot of fun! Cayden enjoyed everything a lot more this year since he was able to run a round. Our first stop was the train ride!

Cayden loved looking at all of the pumpkins and also attempting to pick them up.

We went through the haunted house which Cayden luckily didn't mind..
gidee up!

We tried to get a picture of him at the giant ruler and this was the best we got..
Cayden loved the hay maze!
Mike and Cayden were playing hide and seek which is Cayden's favorite...
Cayden looking for Daddy..
Where is he??

Looking at the horses
After the pumpkin patched closed, we headed for the park to have some fun..
Cayden wanted to go for a swim..

You can print out a picture for the kids to color and if you bring it to the train station, you get a prize..this is what Cayden picked out..
After all of the fun we went home and enjoyed some special rice crispy treats that I had made. I loved them!! I have a yummy rice crispy treat recipe and I added candy corn to them! I am not even a huge candy corn person but it added a nice sweetness and it made them look festive which I loved =)

wiggles and giggles!

In September Cayden started a class that was every Friday called Wiggles and Giggles. It was a lot of fun and Cayden really enjoyed it. His friend Heather was able to go to the class as well..they would meet each other at the playground to have some fun before class =)
This picture makes me laugh, Cayden looks all excited to have a girl in the ball pit with him, and Heather looks like she is thinking the opposite..

There is a big parachute that the parents lift up and down and all the kids can run around underneath, well before we could even lift it, we found this little guy on top of it..

Our last class was sadly this past Friday and it happened to be my mom's day off so she was able to join in on the fun!

We made a craft every week which I think I enjoyed more than Cayden..

Grammy building with Cayden..
After class we drove to Redlands, yes Redlands for delicious Cafe Rio. It was free which made it even better, then to Ontario Mills to do some quick shopping before Cayden needed a nap. It was a really fun day!
