Cayden's BirthDAY

Cayden had such a great day on his Birthday. We started off his morning with a special breakfast. We have a doughnut shop right across the street from us and we go there every now and then so we thought we would surprise him..he loves donuts =)

His Birthday fell on Story time at the Library so we went with his buddy Colton and took them to the splash pad since it was a hot day and they both LOVE going. I was having way too much fun capturing the excitement...

I don't think I could have taken this at a better time...I am not sure Cayden was ready to get into the water..but Colton made sure of it..

We decided to take the boys to the candy shop right by the splash pad for a special treat..they were in heaven with soo many candies to choose from!

Cayden did another season of Soccer which I never blogged about..this particular day was his last game...he has decided, at least for now that soccer is not for him but he did have fun..

Ellie was loving that Grammy and Papa came to watch the game!

We thought it would be fun to take him to Farrell ice cream parlor since they do some fun things when it is your birthday. We had never been so weren't too sure on what to expect. Cayden has been going through a huge...huge fire alarm phase..he LOVES pointing them out everywhere we go and has to inform all of us as well. He also gets a little scared about them going off ( there was an incident at auntie and uncles house that kind of set that off) and of course they have this LOUD alarm thing they do which kind of freaked him out but he put on a brave face and enjoyed the show =)

Cayden was able to open up presents from family were there..

We were so happy to have some family come and join us in celebrating his Birthday..it was a great way to end a fun filled day!

Easter/birthday dinner

We celebrated Easter at my parents house this year on April 13th. It was really close to Cayden's birthday so we decided to celebrate that as well =) We came over straight from church so I decided to take a couple pictures of them in their Easter church outfits..

We never got around to dying Easter eggs (that seems to happen every year) so we decided to have some fun doing them at Grammy and Papas..

We had our traditional Carrot cake for Easter..cayden was not upset one bit that it was also his birthday cake..

The big D!

I am in love with going to Disneyland, I don't think I will ever get sick of it. So of course we don't have a pass I miss it a ton! I kept thinking about how fun it would be to surprise Cayden with passes since we were not having a party for him. I also realized it will probably be the last year we can ever have them. It was a few days before his birthday in April and as soon as the kids woke up we got them ready and left, Cayden kept asking where we were going and we told him it was a surprise but if he recognized where we were going to say it. Well being our son, he knew while we were on the 57 but we kept telling him no but that we were going to drive past it..the look of excitement on his face when he heard that was priceless. By the time we were pulling into the parking garage it was too hard to deny. He was SOO excited!! I think my excitement was just as high...

One of the things Mike and I could not wait for was the fact that Cayden was now tall enough to go on the bigger rides. Cayden was insisting on going on Tower of Terror...I was hesitant, like really hesitant but he was soo anxious and excited to go on how could I tell him no?? Well I should have...it has scard him for good. He wont even go on Pirates....anything with a drop!!! I am have regretted letting him go on it ever since =(

Ellie..I mean Snow White was loving her first time at Disneyland!!

We of course wanted Jared and Amanda to share this special day with us so Amanda and I took Ellie on a couple rides while Daddy, Cayden, and Jared went on Tower..

Sadly the guy in front is blocking most of Caydens face but this picture says it all...

Cayden was soo excited to see Russell..

Cayden saw the Jelly fish and said he wanted to go on it...even after standing in line and watching it go he still wanted to..this one goes up and down but not nearly like Tower..well he was nervous the whole time but luckily stuck it out..we just havent gone on it since =)

Splash pad with Colton!

Cayden was able to make a friend named Colton back when he played basketball and I became close with his mom so we have been having fun getting together. One of the things we did was sign the boys up for story time at the library. While the boys were in story time we would pick out some library books to rent. The boys loved it, especially when we would do something fun after. Right by the library there is a little splash pad at the mall and since April was bringing us such warm weather we decided to take the boys, they loved it!!

I realized I never got any pictures of them together that day unfortunately.

Baby Claire

On April 4th when Claire was just a couple of weeks old, Cayden and Ellie were able to meet her for the first time. I loved capturing this moment..Cayden loves his cousin Claire soo much and she is always soo happy to see him and is always smiling and laughing at him, it is really cute, even cuter now that I know how they are with each other.

Ellie was napping while Cayden was able to hold her so when she woke up we had to get a group cousin picture =)
