California Science center

On Friday the 13th,Cayden and I went with my mom, sister and her husband and some family from Utah to the California Science center! I had never been and was excited to see what was inside but a little hesitant since Cayden isn't the ideal age for this type of place. Luckily he did great and seemed to really enjoy it!

It was really rainy and super cold that day..

We went and saw a 3D movie about the Hubble, I again was a little hesitant because I thought for sure Cayden would not leave the glasses on and then the movie would just be blurry for him. Luckily it was only about 45 mins so I thought I would give it a try!

Well I was wrong! He wore the glasses!

Well not the entire time but most of it! At first he was getting freaked out by all the objects shooting out at him but then he thought it was hilarious..I am so glad he enjoyed it!

After the movie we headed over to lunch, luckily by then most of the schools had left (it was packed when we got there). My mom and I were very very sad to let go of our Diet cokes to go back..

There was also a small section which was an aquarium..

My Uncle Bob got my mom and I to go into a wind tunnel that is supposed to replicate a hurricane, I thought it would be fun to get Cayden in there too..

I think Cayden thought he was flying..he probably would have been if I let him go!

We headed over to the gift shop before we left, I think I found my new calling =)

I was really excited to give Cayden the gift I got him from the gift shop but I wanted to wait till we got home since Mike wasn't able to go with us. Cayden loves planes and doesn't have a toy one so I knew he would love it, and he does!

Easter!

Right after the Easter egg hunt at the park we went home and got ready for Easter at Mike's parents house!

It is so nice to have the cousins close in age..

We attempted to have a little group shot of the grand kids but Roger sadly wasn't cooperating..

After pictures, it was pool time! The pool felt AMAZING..the water was in the 80s, I could have been in there all day...and so could Cayden, he loves the water soo much!

Cayden loved the waterfalls, but really only because he wanted to drink the water..

After swimming we did Easter eggs! I was glad we did this since we didn't end up doing at home. Cayden wasn't really into it and just wanted to drink the colored water..maybe next year.

After that we had a delicious Easter feast and then we did an Easter egg hunt in the house where the kids got lots of cute treats from Grandpa and Grandma. It was a really nice day =)

Egg hunt at the park!

Easter was a lot of fun this year, not only because we were here in California but Cayden is at a much better age than he was last year and I was excited to see how he was going to react to it all. We started the festivites at the park in town where they had a giant easter egg hunt. Luckily they spread it out by age which made it alot easier, but there were definately kids older than 2 in ours. Cayden was a little confused at first and by the time he got the hang of it there were hardly any eggs left but it was still really fun to see him out there. And another plus... he was not afraid of the Easter bunny!

First beach trip of 2012!

A few weeks ago Cayden and I were lucky enough to go to the beach with Jared and Amanda and their cute little dog Stitch who Cayden loves! This is hopefully just one of many trips we will take to the beach this year!The water was freezing but that never stops Cayden, he loves it way too much!!

Cayden was shivering really bad so I thought it would be good to go and get him into some warm clothes, he had fun playing in the sand..

Best buds

For a few months I had been taking Cayden down to the park to meet up with a friend of mine and her nephew who she watched every week. Carson is about 9 months older but they still would always have a lot of fun together. Cayden loved Carson and would talk about him several times a day and would get soo excited when I would tell him we were going to go see him. Sadly Carsons mom had a baby and so my friend no longer watches him since she is on maternity leave which meant no more play dates =( These are some pictures from their last play date so I can remember Caydens first best friend...

A whole quarter!

Even though it has almost been a month since my Birthday, I still cant believe I am 25. This year I was able to celebrate it for a whole week of some fun times with my family. Mike and I decided to have my Birthday dinner on Thursday which was the day of my Birthday at Outback since we both like it but never want to pay to eat there =) I happened to see on Monday that you could get a free bloomin onion that day only so we decided last minute to go!

The food was delicious and we stuffed our faces, and I could not wait for the spotted dog sundae! Most people don't seem to know about it since it is on the kids menu.

On my actual Birthday, Mike came home and told me I had an appt at 4. It was for a body massage! I was soo excited! I get really bad knots all the time in my shoulders and was in need of one since it had been years since my last. I loved every painful and enjoyable minute of it. The lady that worked on me even said I am a lot more knotted than most =( so it was much needed!

The day after that our wonderful freinds Jared and Amanda took us out for dessert at the melting pot. We have never been and were excited to try it. It was delicious and we had a great time!

On Saturday my sweet mom wanted to take me out for one of my favorites, Cafe Rio! It was really rainy and on our way, we almost turned around since the drive was so scary on the freeway. We both wanted it soo bad so we stayed on and luckily the rain slowly died down and we made it in one piece! We ate sooo much and loved every minute of it except for how uncomfortable we were after...

After lunch we went to the Brea mall and went shopping!

On Sunday we had a Birthday dinner with the family. My Nana and far far even came over to celebrate!

They gave Cayden his Easter basket early..

I had such a great week with my family and friends, it would not have been the same without every one of them and am so greatful to have you all in my life =)
