Swimming!

I can't believe that Summer is already almost over! It came and went way too fast! Cayden and I were very spoiled over the last couple of months because we have been able to spend lots of time with Auntie Julie! One thing we did a few times a week was swim..Cayden has gotten soo good and I love his floaty/bathing suit because he just swims around the pool by himself and we don't have to worry about him drowning!
Running around the pool as we were telling him not to but I loved the pic..
Jumping in with Auntie..

Having a yummy snack after swimming..
One of the times we went over to our Nana and Far Far's house..they even had a cute little toy for him to ride on..

Swimming is definitely one thing we are going to miss!

Kung Fu Panda 2

I was so excited to find out that Edwards theatres does summer movies for the kids for only a dollar! My sister and I thought it would be fine to try out and went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 a few weeks ago.

We made sure to bring lots of little goodies to try and keep Cayden occupied..he has a nice mouth full of gummy bears by this point..

Luckily Cayden did great! He wasn't totally into the movie but sat for most of it or stood, and my sister and I were able to watch it since we had never seen it...it was really cute, and of course we even cried..seems like you can never watch a kid movie these days without crying.

Worst Day..

No parent I am sure ever wants to experience seeing their child lifeless before their eyes and unfortunately, Mike and I did. We were at our Niece Marley's third Birthday and Cayden and his cousin went to go play on the playground with Mike. Cayden was climbing up the stairs, slipped and hit his chest on the edge of one of them. He was trying to hold back tears but Mike quickly picked him up to make sure he was OK. Cayden was asking for his momma so Mike, Cayden and Madison walked back to where I was sitting. It had probably been at least a couple minutes since he fell and Mike went to hand him to me and we instantly knew something wasn't right. He was completely white, lips, everything and then he went limp. I stood up and yelled call 911 and Mike went straight to his mom who was right there. They laid him down and all I can remember is praying please come back and how doing CPR can hurt your ribs and lungs so badly, thank goodness he woke up before we needed to take action but by then Cayden's Uncle Jim was already on the phone with the operator and the paramedics were on their way. The scariest thing for us at this point was seeing how pale he was, Mike and I were a mess, especially Mike but we had so much love huddled all around us, hugging us, and keeping us calm. Cayden was coherent but seemed out of it and just soo pale, we wernt really sure what was wrong. Luckily there was a lady at the park who saw all of the commotion and called her husband who lived right down the street who was an ER doctor and he came right before the firetrucks and listened to his lungs and heart and said everything sounded OK. As soon as the fire trucks came Cayden was trying to sit up (he is obsessed with them)..
The firemen were the first to arrive and they were asking us a bunch of questions and checking all of his vitals and they thought everything was OK but thought it would be best to take him to the emergency room..

By then Cayden was sitting up and was starting to regain some color..
I went ahead and went with Cayden in the ambulance ride and Mikes parents drove Mike to the ER

While in the ambulance Cayden had almost seem back to normal which helped me feel calm and OK..Cayden and I of course made it there before Mike and his parents and poor Mike, the minute he walked in to the room he lost it all over again. I couldn't believe how our rolls had switched, Mike is usually the strong one and I am the emotional mess. He just thought he had lost his little boy and felt soo helpless in that moment..
The firemen were so sweet and gave him his own little hat..

Playing with Grandma..

They just said he had the wind knocked out of him, it was just so weird because it was a while after a fell but thank goodness everything was fine! We were sooo grateful to have family there to help us through it and good medical that covered the $1300 ambulance ride. We were so paranoid for a few days after and exhausted from that stress but are so thankful our little man is ok =)

Meeting Pluto!

Cayden was really excited for this particular trip to Disneyland because we were going with Amanda and her sister Chloe! It was super hot and very very humid that day but we still managed to have a good time like always =)

Watching the ships go by while eating lunch..
He loves pirates so like seeing the pirate ship..

Cayden also loves all of the Mickey Mouse club house characters so was very excited to meet one in person!

He couldn't take his eyes off of Pluto..
Being silly..

He loves these two..

Mike and I love having passes but this picture is the exact reason why we are so glad to have them =)

Beach with Auntie Julie!

A couple weeks ago Julie and I took Cayden to the beach! Julie's sister in law, Jennifer came along for the fun too!
Cayden is ready for the beach!

Apparently Cayden doesn't think two year olds need a car seat..

It was nice and sunny but like always the water takes some time getting used to..well at least for me, the temp never seems to bother this little guy..

Having some fun on the sand..

My cute little goof ball..

Showing me the "treasures" he found on the beach..

Cars and Fireworks!

A few weeks ago we met Jared and Amanda at Disneyland! We decided to finally check out the new cars land and I am so glad we did! They did such a good job with everything, it was like we were in a whole new park! We were also able to try out one of the new rides =)

It was a lot of fun and Cayden was laughing so hard the whole time, even while Amanda and I were sandwiching him..

As we were walking around we happened to notice these tire hats(not sure if I should even call them that) but apparently Amanda and I have big heads because we could barely get them on!

After some fun at Disneyland we decided to watch the fireworks from the parking garage..it is definitely not the same but well worth not being in the crowds of people..

It was right after the fourth of July when we went so Cayden still had fireworks fresh in his mind, or as he calls them, Boom Booms!

It was a great night!

The fourth!

The Nursery kids were included in the parade for our ward fourth of July breakfast we have every year. Typically you decorate a bike or razor, since Cayden doesn't have a bike yet, I decided to decorate his rocket!

I thought it turned out really cute =)

Cayden hanging out..I thought his hand his pocket was really cute

Gotta love Grammy's shirt!

It was finally time and Cayden was very excited!

Everyone got a kick out of his rocket. He is too big for it now so it was pretty funny watching him go around the parking lot but once he found this hill that's where he wanted to stay..

He was getting some good speed!

Mike couldn't wait to do fire works at night (he was really excited) so we did a few after the Breakfast..

We were anxious to see how Cayden would be and unfortunately it is illegal where we live to have them so the only things we bought were poppers, sparklers, and smoke bombs..but as you can see he was loving it..

We attempted to get him to nap which he wouldn't do so a few hours later we were back for more fireworks!

He is such a goof!

I drew out a hop scotch which Cayden loved to do, we would ask him to pick out the numbers we had to skip which made it pretty interesting..

We would go out front periodically because there were a lot of fireworks in the sky which were of course fun to see..

When it finally got dark we did the rest of the sparklers..I never realized if you draw something in the air and take a picture it will show what you were drawing, so we had some fun with that!
Caydens scribbles..
He did a circle..

Mommy did a heart..

And a cloud!
We had a great Fourth of July!
