Our last trip

We sadly took our final trip to Disneyland on May 28th. We have loved having our passes and are going to miss going a lot but luckily it is Summer, we have a newborn and Cayden is no longer free so it might be a while before we get them again. We tried to go on as much as possible and Jared and Amanda came to join in on the fun, we had a great time and I was sad to leave.

Baby shower!

We had my baby shower on May 18th and had a great time eating a yummy brunch and playing games. I got a lot of great gifts and loved being surrounded by family and friends! It was a great day.

Our baby moon!

I was really really looking forward to our little mini baby moon vacation! With Mike having to travel so much to Sacramento last Summer for work he was able to get a ton of hotel points for the Hyatt. We were able to get a free night at the Hyatt in Palm Springs! We went over Mother's Day weekend and the one thing I wanted was that it would be hot and luckily it was.
Our life has been pretty crazy lately so this was a much needed trip for the both of us and one thing we wanted to do to on the way to the hotel was do a session at the Temple, we love it there...

We stopped at Ruby's by the outlet mall and had a delicious and very fattening lunch..

We changed and headed over to do some outlet shopping. I like usual had to stop at the bathroom and was totally surprised when I saw the toilets. The seat cover is attached to the seat and moves around when you push a button to put a new one on, it was strange, but I love that they have that but you still have to flush it yourself and that isn't automatic..

I of course didn't have much interest in going into any store other than the kid ones..

We got to the hotel a little before check in time so we decided to head out to the pool which was something I was really excited about..

That night we got ready and headed out to Dinner, this was the view from our balcony..

Waiting to be seated, unfortunately it wasn't the smartest idea to go Mother's day weekend which was the only one that could work for us but everything was pretty crowded..

We decied to walk to the movies from our hotel after dinner and we came across a GIANT statue of Marylin Monroe...I thought it was pretty crazy so I had to take a pic with her..

The next morning we slept in and went out to breakfast then it was time for more pool time!

After we checked out we went to the Palm Springs tram!

We were all ready to hike and that we did! I did better than I thought with how pregnant I was but it was so beautiful up there so it was worth it!!

Sadly after the tram it was time to head home..and this was the temp, yes it says 112 =)

We never ate lunch so we decided to make a pit stop in Redlands for some Cafe Rio! We had such a relaxing great time. We were excited to see our little monster but needed that nice little break =)

Pretend City!

The workout group got together towards the end of April to a place called Pretend City! I thought for sure Cayden was going to have a blast with all of the pretend buildings you can go into and play in and I was quickly proven otherwise. Unfortunately Cayden had no interest in the grocery store you could push the shopping cart around in and get food and check out, or the little houses, or library etc! I think he was a little overwhelmed at first so he really wasn't into doing much at all which was making me really sad but luckily it faded and he was of course going to all of the cars..
He loved this BMW and kept going back to it, luckily no one else seemed to care about it so he was always able to hop right in..

There was an ATM machine and Cayden quickly found out it would spit out money which he was excited about..

He loved this, especially when I pushed him around in it..

This was another thing he loved, he was the little sound/light man for a cute little stage they had..

The minute he saw a little boy on one of these he had his eye on it waiting for it to become free, he wasn't very good on it because it requires good balance but he still enjoyed it..

This cracked me up, there was a big sand area with a lot of tractors and sand toys in it. Cayden and I both (there were chairs for me to sit in) liked this area. Cayden loves to line up all of his cars, toys at home and I happened to notice he did it here. I think the only way he was able to get away with doing this was because there were no other boys in there =)

Besides the fact that it was far, expensive and crowded, we still had a fun time and it was definitely worth checking out!

Cayden at 3!

I decided this year would be a good year to start asking little interview questions about Cayden. Of course the questions/answers I had done right on his Birthday has disapeared so I just recently asked him some more and of course some of the answers have changed but it was still fun and something I hope to keep up every year!

Cayden turns 3!

Cayden's Birthday fell on a Monday this year and we decided to surprise him with a fun day! I ran across something they do at Disneyland called Character Dining. I knew Cayden would LOVE this since he has always loved seeing the Disney Characters. I made the reservation for breakfast at one of their restaurants and we decided to keep it a surprise. We also invited Jared and Amanda which we knew Cayden would be very happy about. It ended up raining that morning and it was crowded. Mike thought we should walk to the park from the garage instead of take the tram since it was such a long line so I gave in and we did, well of course it started to rain harder and harder and we had no umbrella but luckily it cleared up while we were eating =)

The breakfast was an all you can eat buffet and there were a lot of options of anything you could think of to eat for breakfast. The characters would walk around the whole time and come up to the kids and take pictures with them and play with them. Cayden had such a great time..

Captain hook was pretty funny, he played a ton with Cayden with his balloon and was cracking Cayden up..

We pretty much let Cayden decide what rides to go on and of course the first one was Buzz and of course Toy Story..

He also wanted to go on the Ferris wheel, he loves that one too and was being a goof on it..

While we were on the Ferris wheel we happened to see Woody so we went over after so Cayden could meet him..

Jared and Amanda could not make it to his birthday party so they took him to a store on the way out and let him pick out a toy, he chose this..

He loves it and plays with it all of the time! He had a great Birthday =)
